Objective
Expect to improve your overall strength and mobility and improve your ability to balance when navigating life’s balance challenges!
This session is designed around doing all of the things that improve your balance. Clients who attend this weekly session tell us they feel stronger and more confident in their ability to balance when life gives them a balance challenge! If you are finding your ability to maintain your balance is declining as you age…this weekly session is for you!
The entire session is done either seated in a chair or standing.
Each session will include exercises to improve your overall strength, improve your flexibility and mobility, increase your core strength, increase strength and mobility in your feet and ankles and exercises that give you chance to safely practice your balance so you can improve it!
You’ll use weights and bands for strengthening exercises.
This session is safe and recommended for those with osteopenia and osteoporosis.
Wear comfortable fitting clothes that allow your body to move. It’s important to be comfortable when you are working out. When you are distracted by anything, including what you are wearing, you’re not spending as much time focused on the important things!! Most people go barefoot or wear grippy socks for this session, but you can wear tennis shoes for this small group if you prefer.
Currently we are only offering one Balance Group Session in studio each week. That could change in the future if there is a demand for more sessions! So be sure to let us know if you would like to see this small group Balance session on our schedule at a different day and time.
We also offer a live virtual Better Balance class that you can take at home every Wednesday at 9 am. Click here to schedule a virtual class.
Get unlimited anytime access to a library of On Demand classes for home with our Better Balance Membership. Click here to learn more about our On Demand Membership options.
