INTRO TO STRENGTH SMALL GROUP SESSIONS

First Wednesday of Every Month at 10 AM

  • Objective

To introduce you to strength training in a safe, supportive environment where you can learn proper form, try exercises in your own body, and build the confidence to get started.

  • Instructor: Colleen Rhodes

Mary is a retired physical therapist previously working with people with orthopedic problems. She started teaching Pilates in 2009.

Mary is a firm believer in the need to keep moving and finds Pilates and its principles very helpful for maintaining flexibility and strength and balance.

  • First Wednesday of every month at 10 AM

Reserve your spot for the Thursdays that you can attend.  Consistency is the key to feeling results in your body!

  • Small on Purpose

No more than 5 people so everyone gets individual attention.  We think it’s important that your teacher knows you and builds a relationship with you so she can help you get the most out of each session!

  • Reserve your spot

These sessions are conducted once a month.   Guarantee your spot by registering early here.

A supportive first step into Strength Training.

This Intro to Strength Training session is the perfect way to experience how we train at Rivercity Pilates. You’ll learn foundational exercises, practice proper form with expert guidance, and get a feel for what it’s like to work in a small, supportive group. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of whether our ongoing Strength Small Group Sessions (Mon/Wed 8 & 9 AM, Thurs 3 PM, Sat 10 AM) are the right fit for you—no pressure, just a chance to learn and try.

This session is safe for those who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

What to wear:

Wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in—no special outfits required. You’ll see people dressed in all kinds of ways here. Strength training can be done barefoot, in grippy socks (we have them at the studio), or in tennis shoes.
